Our campsite “THINES” is situated west of the village of Finikounda opposite the beautiful Messinian Oinousses islands.
The site has separate plots, a Minimarket, a refreshment bar, traditional greek foods, washing machines, cooking facilities and very clean showers and toilets.
On our family run campsite a warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you.
From May to August we often see Loggerhead turtles (Carettacaretta) burying their eggs on the beach in front of the campsite.
This happens at night when the turtles came out to make their nest. We must be very quiet when this happens. Afterwards we put sticks around the nest to protect it. We note the date and in 50 to 60 days we see the baby turtles hatching.
